KDD 2013 is hosting a demonstration session that provides a forum for researchers and developers from academia, industry and government to interact with and explore their latest research results. The demonstration session is designed to allow researchers and practitioners to display their data mining software systems, prototypes, conceptual designs, libraries, etc., in an interactive setting.
While the Demonstration Program Committee encourages the submission of demonstrations that focus on new technology and early prototypes, submissions based on mature systems with innovative technical experimental features and functionalities are also welcome.
Submission must describe the innovative research and its contribution to particular aspect(s) of knowledge discovery and data mining that has produced the demonstrated system. It must also include technical specification, literature references, and optionally include a URL to screenshots or an online version. Details on formatting requirement can be found at www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates. The submissions will be carefully reviewed by the Demonstration Program Committee and be selected according to the novelty, technical advances and challenges, timeliness, potential impact, and practical application.
Deadline for submissions is April 5, 2013. Note that the marketing of products must be arranged as part of the exhibit program rather than a demonstration. To participate, please, submit a short demo proposal at: www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=kdd2013demotrack.
Please note that proposals must be no more than FOUR pages long and be in PDF or Word format. The notification of accepted demos will be sent out by May 10, 2013.
