Join Us in Halifax for SIGDOC 2017 and SIGKDD 2017

The SIGDOC 2017 Conference will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, August 11 - 13 co-located with SIGKDD.

This year’s conference features some wonderful speakers and scholars, including keynotes by Dr. Karel Vredenberg, lead designer at IBM, and Rigo award winner Dr. Karen Schriver, President of KSA Communication Design & Research, and author of the foundational text Dynamics in Document Design. Also featured will be pre-conference workshops, the SIGDOC research network, ignite talks, and an industry panel on new trends in the field, as well as other panels.

The Association for Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on the Design of Communication (SIGDOC) provides a forum for researchers and practitioners of the design of communication, including information architecture, information design, user assistance, help, and documentation (traditional and user-contributed) as well as technology that supports and enhances communication, including blogs, forums, chat, and wikis. Members of SIGDOC include information designers, user experience researchers, educators, web content developers, usability specialists, computer scientists, and user interface designers.
