Student Travel Awards
Student Travel Award Chair:

AAAI, IBM Research, and SIGMOD are pleased to jointly sponsor
Student Travel Awards for KDD-2005. Each award is $500.
To be eligible for the award, a student must be:
1. An author (or a co-author) of an accepted paper or poster to KDD-2005, and
2. A full-time student at the time of paper acceptance.
In addition, a student winning the award must come
to KDD-2005 in order to receive the award check.
The awards will be given, in the following order, to:
1. All students who are sole authors of papers,
2. Students who are sole authors of poster; and if there are awards still left,
3. Students who are first authors of papers,
4. Students who are first authors of poster,
5. Students who are co-authors, but not first authors of papers or poster.
Students whose papers have been accepted to KDD-2005 are all invited to apply
for the travel awards by June 8, 2005 by sending:
1. title page of their accepted KDD-2000 paper,
2. indication of paper or poster,
3. proof of their full-time student status
(e.g. proof of full-time registration status for current semester),
4. email address
5. letter of recommendation from their advisor
