We have negotiated a nightly rate of $153 for attendees of the KDD conference. Please mention ACM/KDD when calling the hotel to get this rate, or click < here > to reserve a room online. Directions to the Hotel

Driving directions to the Westin can be found on the Westin Seattle's site by clicking on ''Driving Directions'' in the left side bar. Parking at the hotel is $24 per day.

Getting to the Hotel from Sea-Tac airport:

• Airport Express
  Airport Express offers bus shuttle service between the SeaTac airport and the Westin, in addition to other downtown hotels. Boarding locations for Airport Express are at the Lower Level North Booth (outside the United Airlines baggage claim area, Door 24) and South Booth (outside the International baggage claim area, Door 8). Tickets can be purchased from Gray Line of Seattle Booths or from Airport Express drivers. The conference also has a 10% discount if Airport Express tickets are reserved beforehand online (click here for instructions).
• Express Car
  Shuttle Express offers town car and van services to and from the airport and the greater Seattle area for groups. Towncars to downtown Seattle are $50 for groups of 1-3, and private vans are $70 for groups of 10 or less.
• Taxi
  The ride will take approximately 25 minutes and should cost about $28-$32.
• Metro
  Bus Routes MT 174 and 194 board outside on the Baggage Terminal Level and go to downtown from the Sea-Tac airport. You can plan your bus route to the Westin or other downtown Seattle locations here (type in ''Sea-Tac Airport'' as your origin). Fare information can be found here.
• Rental Cars
  Rental car companies have information counters in Sea-Tac's Baggage claim area. AVIS is offering a car rental discount to all SIGKDD attendees. Click here for more information.

3. Northwest Airlines (International Travel to and from Seattle)
   • North American participants should call 1-800-328-1111 to book tickets; Attendees from Europe/Asia may call the local Northwest/KLM reservations office in their country of origin. Book with WorldFile designator RBANC.
   • 5 - 10% off discount and regular fares
   • Travel window restricted to August 15, 2004 - September 1, 2004

Other airlines such as Jet Blue Airways and Southwest Airlines also have discount web fares and specials going to and from Seattle on a constant basis.

Seattle, The Emerald City

Seattle is a beautiful city in the summer. Some of the top sightseeing activities in Seattle include: the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, Pacific Science Center, Experience Music Project, Woodland Park Zoo, Seattle Aquarium, Seattle Art Museum, Pioneer Square, Boeing Tour, Museum of Flight, Ballard Locks, University of Washington and the International District. You can also catch a Seattle Mariners game at SAFECO field nearby or check out Seahawks Stadium. Snoqualmie Falls, the Olympic Peninsula and Mount Rainier National Park are also top sightseeing activities within driving distance of the Seattle area. Tours that we recommend include the Seattle Underground Tour and the Ride the Ducks of Seattle Tour. Gray Line Group Discounts

Airport Express/Gray Line of Seattle Sightseeing Products

KDD 2004 has a 10% group discount for Airport Express transportation service to and from downtown Seattle and the Sea-Tac airport, as well as 10% off select sightseeing products, including the Mt. Rainier Tour, Boeing Tour, City Sights, Double Decker Tour and the Seattle Trolley Tour).

To take advantage of these discounts, a group code must be entered on the home page of the Gray Line of Seattle website. Please note, if confirming a price that does not include a discount, return to the homepage to enter a group code.

Our group code is: AS0804cs (case sensitive).

The step-by-step process to use the group code is:

1. Go to http://graylineseattle.com/.
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, where you will see: "Group Code: " with a box to enter in the group code.
3. Enter the group code AS0804cs, then click "Log in".
4. You can then click on "Sightseeing Tours" or "Airport Express" in the top navigation bar to book.
