The health and safety of our attendees and volunteers have always been our top priority at KDD, and we are taking measures beyond our existing practices in light of the unfolding COVID-19 outbreak. ACM SIGKDD and the KDD 2020 organization committee are monitoring the situation closely. We are investigating various feasible options proactively. Any updates in the status of KDD 2020 will be posted on this website. Please check this website regularly for updates. We are following updates on the situation from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Center for Disease Control (CDC), California and San Diego County ordinances, and the ACM. We urge all attendees to keep informed on risks, precautions, and symptoms and to make educated decisions.

SIGKDD Policy on Double Submission, Plagiarism, and Misrepresentation

SIGKDD Policy on Double Submission, Plagiarism, and Misrepresentation

Papers submitted to SIGKDD cannot be simultaneously under review or consideration in any other venue (or in different tracks of KDD) during the entire SIGKDD review period (i.e., from paper submission to notification dates). This includes conferences, workshops, journals, and any other venues that have published proceedings. The only exception is for papers submitted to ArXiv before the SIGKDD submission deadline.

Papers submitted to SIGKDD must have substantial novelty compared to any previous work, including other works by the same authors. Any overlap (in content, methods, writing, etc.) with prior work must be properly cited or attributed. SIGKDD also takes cases of plagiarism very seriously (including self-plagiarism), as well as author misrepresentation and inclusion of false content.

The authors should familiarize themselves with the ACM policy on Prior Publication and Simultaneous Submissions (https://www.acm.org/publications/policies/simultaneous-submissions), and ACM policy on Plagiarism, Misrepresentation, and Falsification (https://www.acm.org/publications/policies/plagiarism-overview).

Violations of the SIGKDD policy will result in the rejection of the paper. In addition, the SIGKDD program chairs will inform the SIGKDD Executive Committee, and the chairs of other related conferences/editors of other related journals as appropriate. Depending on the severity of the infraction, the SIGKDD Executive Committee may also disbar the author from submitting their work to future SIGKDD affiliated publication venues, and the case may be escalated to the ACM and the authors’ institutions.

Pursuant to this policy, all authors of a submission will be required to acknowledge the following statements about double submission, plagiarism, misrepresentation, and content falsification at the time of submission:

* The authors verify that the work is not under submission/review at any other venue (journal, conference, workshop, etc.) with published proceedings, during the entire SIGKDD review period.

* The authors attest that no part of the submitted paper is plagiarized or self-plagiarized, and that all prior work has been properly cited or attributed.

* The authors acknowledge that all of the authors listed are integral to the submitted paper, and are aware of and agree to this submission. Also, the authors acknowledge that no one who contributed to this work was willfully omitted.

* The authors verify that there are no intentionally false claims made in the submitted work.

* The authors acknowledge that they have read and understand the ACM Policy on Prior Publication and Simultaneous Submissions (https://www.acm.org/publications/policies/simultaneous-submissions).

* The authors acknowledge that they have read and understand the ACM Policy on Plagiarism, Misrepresentation, and Falsification (https://www.acm.org/publications/policies/plagiarism-overview).
