Call for Panel Proposals

Panels Chair :Alex Tuzhilin, New York University, (atuzhili@stern.nyu.edu)

The Sixth International Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (KDD-2000) is the premiere event for the data mining community expected to bring together more than 800 attendees from academia and

industry. Among other activities, the conference program includes panels, and the Program Committee invites submission of proposals for the panels to be held at the conference.

 

Panel proposals are expected to address new, exciting, and controversial issues. They should include:

 

1.       Summary of the topics to be covered,

2.       Names and affiliations of up to 4 panelists who have made a commitment to participate,

3.       Short summary of their position statements,

4.       Brief biography of each participant.

 

A mix of industry and academic panel members is encouraged.

 

Panel proposals should be submitted electronically in the ASCII format to the Panels Chair Alex Tuzhilin (atuzhili@stern.nyu.edu) by March 3, 2000. The expected notification date is April 10, 2000.
