The KDD 2008 conference will take place in the Las Vegas area, at the Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort, 101 Montelago Boulevard, Henderson, Nevada.

A rate of $159 (single/double) will be available to conference attendees for reservations between August 21st-30th, 2008. This rate will be inclusive of the resort fee, but not include taxes, housekeeping fees of $2.50 per room per day and bellman roundtrip of $7.50. Cut-off date for room reservations at this rate will be July 25th, 2008. Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-23-LOEWS or the hotel directly at 702-567-6000, and stating that you want the KDD group rate using group code: ACM824.

  1. Visit the Loews Hotel website: http://www.loewshotels.com
  2. Under the "Book a Room" section on the left side of the page, select "Henderson, Nevada", enter your check in and check out dates, and then click the "MORE SEARCH OPTIONS" link which will open up more fields.
  3. Under "Partner Program", select "Group", and then under "Code", enter in "ACM824".

Airport

The closest major airport is Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS). There will be shuttle services for registered attendees to and from the airport. Please check the registration form for additional details on setting up date and time windows for pick up and drop off.

Visa

The Association for Computing Machinery does not issue formal invitation letters for visas. We can however issue a visa support letter. For visa support letters, please send all requests with the following information to Laura Bucci (bucci at hq dot acm dot org).

  1. Name and mailing address as it appears on your passport
  2. The name of the conference you wish to attend
  3. Registration confirmation number
  4. If you are the author of any papers accepted for the conference, please provide the title
  5. Fax number

Please note that visa support letters are not issued via email.
